Our story
In 1987 we combined our backgrounds in journalism and graphic design to found Signal Creative as a graphic design and communications company.
Signal began working with Karo Group in 1990 as a supplier of digital graphic services, consulting and training. At the same time, CityScope Magazine, the precursor of Avenue Magazine, hired us as consultants. Those stints eventually led to a partnership for Alex at Karo and writing and editing positions for Valerie at the Calgary Herald/Postmedia.
