A creative take on a 50th anniversary for UCalgary magazine Spring/Summer 2016

— Branded Journalism

For the University of Calgary's 50th anniversary in 2016, I was asked to compress five decades of history into a feature story and highlight some of the biggest changes on campus. I decided to create a fictitious character for the piece and it wound up being a bit of a romp...

“Wouldn’t it be fun to take a student from 1966 and flash-forward them to the UCalgary campus in 2016? Hold tight, daddy-o, as we do that very thing.”

My story and its accompanying illustrations by Travis Sengaus (and the issue itself) won several 2017 CASE District VIII Communication Awards.
